Charity fundraising event for Kieran Crichton of Kilwinning

Kilwinning ‘Wee Warrior’ mum Kieran Crichton is hosting a black tie event to give back to the charities that have helped her son recover from cancer.

Taking place on Friday September 16 at the Riverside Lodge Hotel, Senga Crichton is hosting the first Warriors Ball in support of Glasgow Children’s Hospital and Calum’s Cabin who have helped Kieran through his devastating illness.

Purchasing a ticket for the black-tie event will entitle attendees to enjoy a three-course meal, live entertainment and a wine reception.

Speaking in 2020, Senga said: “The hospital charity has done a lot for Kieran.

“Calum’s Cabin offers families a vacation to bond after long hospital stays.

“Kieran really came to life and was so happy because he could move around independently, unlike our own house. He was so happy there.

Kieran was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer called medulloblastoma in March 2018 when he was just 12 years old.

The illness led Kieran to undergo surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy.

The ball was originally scheduled to take place two years ago in 2020 but could not go ahead due to Covid-19 restrictions.

The event starts at 6.30pm with tickets costing £50 per person.
