Let’s Live Life is set to take on a triathlon fundraising challenge and Let’s Live Life program manager Samantha Holden says the team is “passionate about supporting and contributing to our local community”.
The 11-person team is extremely proud to participate in their first-ever triathlon in support of ELHT&Me and their local hospital.
Samantha continued: “Over the past few months the team has been training very hard with many of us completely out of our comfort zones, from cold early morning swims, to races and long bike rides. uphill.”

The triathlon will take place on Saturday August 20 from the Ribblesdale Pool. Some team members will run the Olympic distance which includes 60 lengths, a 25 mile cycle and a 10 km run. Other team members will complete the Sprint distance which includes 32 lengths, a 12.5 mile cycle and a 5k run.
Michaela Thomson, one of the team members, said: “Participating in a triathlon was something I never thought I would do, but when I found out it was to raise money for our hospital local NHS, Clitheroe Community Hospital, I said do it.
“I really enjoyed the challenge of surpassing myself in these three triathlon disciplines.”
ELHT&Me is the official charity of the five hospitals that make up the East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust – Royal Blackburn and Burnley General Teaching Hospitals, Community Hospitals Accrington Victoria, Clitheroe and Pendle.
