ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News – September 24, 2022): Advisor to the Prime Minister for Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan Affairs Qamar Zaman Kaira has praised ICCA stars and Rawalpindi Islamabad Union of Journalists (RIUJ) for organizing a fundraiser fund Twenty20 cricket match for flood victims in the country.
A Twenty20 flood relief fundraising cricket match was held here at Meusam cricket ground in the town of Faisal to generate funds for the flood victims. The match was organized by Tanveer Associates, Star ICCA and RIUJ.
Qamar Zaman Kaira, who was the main guest on the occasion, praised ICCA and RIUJ stars for raising funds for those affected by the floods, who desperately needed help at the time , while the country was hard hit by devastating floods and heavy rain.
“It’s good to see people from all walks of life coming to the aid of those affected by the floods in Pakistan. May Allah bless us all so that we can help them in this time of need. It’s a very good initiative taken by ICCA and RIUJ to generate funds for those affected by the floods,” he said.
Millions of people have been affected by the floods in Pakistan, who have either lost their lives or been displaced into camps. More than millions of homes, livestock and farmland have been damaged or destroyed by the floods in the country.
Meanwhile, health officials were warning that epidemics and waterborne diseases were imminent.
